When life gets boring!
Hi there!
Sometimes life can get a bit boring.
you get into a routine of waking up, going to work or school and coming home at the end of the day and doing whatever you do when you get home. But when the holidays come sweeping around its like, BAM! what does one do with all this spare time?! This is something i struggle with. Now some people have hobbies they can do or maybe they just work thought the holidays and other people actually do stuff with there life and socialising with their friends and family's all holidays, but there are also others that just sit on the Internet the whole time before school starts up again.
Me, I'm the one who just wastes there life away on the Internet with the few occasional social outings.
Now i have a friend that does almost the exact same as me,they will just sit there for hours on end going though all their social media accounts and anything else that can be a time waster i guarantee they have at least tried it out. The only difference between me and my friend is that they have depression. Which means they have no motivation and no interest in there old hobbies, which means when holidays come around they have no idea what to do with all this spare time.
My friend is slowly over coming their depression making it easier for them to do more things. I've suggested them to do the following things (these things have helped my friend hugely - i hope hugely is a word).
1. Art
Now i know you cant just sit down and draw, sketch or paint for hours and hours on end but it is at least something productive and small that can create absolute master pieces. i know from my friend that they discovered their great ability for drawing this way. Who knows you might be a hidden artist ready to break out of your shell and paint this world with beauty.
2. Learn a new instrument.
Now i know there are some of you out there that are less musical than others but that doesn't mean you can give up all hope. There are some really weird and quirky instruments out there, you never know one of them might just be for you.
3. Going to the gym/exercising
This heaps of fun to do and can actually make you happier. Now i don't quite now the scientific side of it but i think there is a chemical released in your brain when you work out and it makes you happier (please correct me if I'm wrong in the comments down below). Its also great fun to do with a friend, and it keeps you fit and healthy.
4. Cooking
Some of you reading this just cringed at the thought of having to cook but for others it can be quite fun and can act as a stress relief. for me i love cooking so much, but i don't like cooking sweet things. My favourite thing to cook is lasagna (i do cheat a bit by using pre-made lasagna sheets but hey gotta start somewhere right :P ) i found out i am actually quite a good cook and i love cooking for other people it just makes me happy and it also makes me happy to know that when I'm older i will be able to cook for my family and provide for them that way. But don't let anything hold you back, if you have a love and passion for cooking try do something with it, you never know you could be a master chief one day ;)
5. Last but not least, dancing
Don't ever let your gender hold you back from dancing whether your a male wanting to do ballet or a female wanting to do break dancing, go for it, no matter how many people might bully you or put you down because 'men shouldn't do ballet' or 'women belong in the kitchen' i give you permission to slap them in that face and GO, follow your dreams! (Don't literally sap them though that might not end to well for the both of us.)
Anyways what I'm trying to say here is, when life gets boring just go out and do something, follow a crazy dream if you must, but don't ever waste your life doing nothing. God gave you this life, so use it!And show this world some much needed beauty!
Comment down below some of your hobbies or things you do to keep yourself busy in the holidays.
Lots Of Love

That's right, there is a chemical that releases that actually kills depression when you get your heart rate up and keep it up while excercising. And it's just as good as anti depressants.
ReplyDeleteLove the dancing comments 👌🏻👌🏻 Perfection!
You could also add reading or writing and learning something new! Something you would never normally try. It's fresh and interesting then.
Love it!
